Dusk Tallisim

A tallis based on the liminal hours of day and historic lungi patterns.

The beged is a wide wool herringbone, with contrast warp and weft. Depending on light and angle of drape, the color iridesces between purple and brown. Perspectival table of teal stripes numbering 30 in each direction. Border of sunset orange. Flat center seam. Staggered knot fringe. Appliqué corners and atarah feature improvisational overshot on a threading based on gematria of Psalm 30:12-13. They are offset from the edges to capture the flow of the teal circuitry, like spiritual antennae. The client also received custom color-matched Fury Wren tzitzit to tie, not pictured.
